During an appearance on The Patrick LabyorSheaux podcast, the actress was asked to recall her favorite Michael Landon moment from the show. Arngrim, 63, pointed to a scene from the Season 1 episode “Town Party, Country Party.”
After noting that she had “so many” memorable moments with Landon, Arngrim revealed on the podcast, “Early on, I remember, so I'm in the pond. Well, I'm always in a pond, right? It was ‘Town Party, Country Party,’ and the whole thing where Laura's showing me a crab, and then I just sploosh, sploosh, and covered in goop and terrible stuff.“
Arngrim revealed that Landon ordered her to “get back in the water."
“And that was very accurate,” Arngrim concluded. “I spent a lot of time in the water with Michael. A lot of time sitting like waist deep in water having these conversations.”

The "Town Party, Country Party" episode centered around two parties: One, a birthday party at the Oleson house, during which Nellie pushes Laura and hurts her ankle, and another at the Ingalls abode, where Laura seeks revenge on Nellie for taunting her friend. Arngrim addressed the on-set drama in her 2010 book, Confessions of a Prairie Bitch. “Alf Kjellin was doing a fine job,” she wrote. "Then, we got to the part where Nellie gets her comeuppance.”
Arngrim noted that Kjellin became infuriated and screamed at Landon, and that’s when all broke loose in Walnut Grove. “The two of them went on like this. They appeared about to kill one another right in front of me,” she wrote. “It ended with a mutual ‘f--- off.’”
