Two people in far suburban Huntley were arrested by law enforcement on a charge of sexual conduct with an animal, authorities said.
Efin Nolte, 23, and Katelyn Heiden, 27, were each charged with sexual conduct with an animal and lodged in the McHenry County Jail, the Huntley Police Department said in a Facebook post on Friday.
In July, Huntley police received a report of a video showing a man engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a dog, authorities said. Officers began an investigation, confirmed the video was filmed in Huntley and identified both Nolte and Heiden as suspects, law enforcement stated.
Huntley police on Friday served a warrant for electronic devices belonging to the suspects, and the devices were analyzed by police detectives along with investigators from the Illinois Attorney General’s office, police said. While it wasn’t clear what was recovered on the devices, police said Nolte and Heiden “were taken into custody based on evidence gained through this investigation.”
