Chain, the celebrity-driven enterprise behind last year’s Chainfest, is back in Los Angeles for a holiday celebration.
On par with its combination of pop culture and pop cuisine, Chain will debut its “Holiday House,” an event billed as a “celebration of pop-cuisine, nostalgia, and holiday cheer.” The celebration, running from Dec. 4 to Dec. 7, with additional weekends to be announced, will transform Virgil Village into a festive delight, where every room will reveal a new dish, drink, and delight inspired by popular American restaurant brands.
The Holiday House will offer attendees a two-hour tasting tour featuring specialty dishes and drinks.
Guests can expect a chef-driven collaborative meal with Cracker Barrel, Sonic Drive-In, or Red Robin, each paired with a different seasoned spin on Arby’s iconic curly fries and a slice of Portillo’s chocolate cake; a Heinz Flavor Workshop with a build-your-own potato pancake bar and unreleased Heinz sauces; a Holidays Deserve Pepsi experience with holiday cocktails, mocktails, and complimentary cans of iconic Pepsi flavors; a festive pour of Stella Artois and custom chalice engraving; a Friendly’s x Chain “Sundae Claus” — a nostalgic twist on the Conehead Sundae; a Kahlúa x Dunkin’ espresso martini Coolatta and Kahlua-infused Munchkin; a soon-to-be-announced Panda Express dessert; a flight pairing of mini holiday pies and Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey shots at the Black Sheep Speakeasy; Dutch Bros Holiday House exclusive beverages; and two craft cocktails or mocktails developed by Chain and Thunderbolt, featuring Absolut, Jameson Black Barrel, Malibu, and Altos.
Tickets for the all-inclusive tasting tour are $75 and go on sale at noon on Friday, Nov. 14, at chainholidayhouse.com. Admission includes a two-hour session that features games, music, and entertainment. Happy hours will be scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m., and night sessions will be scheduled from 8 to 10 p.m.
The event will also feature the Holiday House Gift Shop, which will sell exclusive collaborative merchandise with Dave & Buster’s, Arby’s, Panda Express, Pizza Hut and a curated selection of vintage memorabilia and artifacts from chain restaurant history.
“The holiday season evokes so many of our most emotional memories. And for many of us, that nostalgia is tied to the chains of our childhoods,” said B.J. Novak, Founder of Chain, in a press statement. “This is our way of celebrating that, with a modern, in-the-moment spin on those great feelings.”
