A 23-year-old Chicago man was charged Wednesday with murdering a 2-month-old boy in April, police said.
Anthony Evans, of the 0-100 block of East 111th Street in Chicago, was charged with one felony count of murder after he was identified as a suspect responsible for the death of a 2-month-old, police said.
On April 28, a 2-month-old male victim was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead on the 200 block of West 106th Street in Chicago’s Fernwood neighborhood, authorities said.
Evans was arrested by Chicago police and members of the U.S. Marshals’ office on Nov. 10, authorities said. He was taken into custody in Bronzeville on the 4700 block of South Champlain Avenue.
He will appear in court Thursday for a detention hearing.
