Calling all fans of the curious, strange and macabre: the Downtown Armory has just the event for you this weekend.
The Lil’ Darks Picnic will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday with more than 25 vendors, ranging from pottery to reptiles and other eclectic interests, according to a Darks Picnic news release. Performances will kick off at 5 p.m., including blockheads, a pole dancer and other ghastly entertainers.
“If you’re live, laugh, love, this might not be for you,” event organizer Rachael-Anne Omps said. “But if you’re creepy, like Wednesday Addams, this is just your gig.”
Last year’s Darks Picnic featured more than 30 vendors and performers at the DoubleTree Hotel. This year’s event is a scaled-back version, encompassing many of the same ideas as last year’s event.
“A few of us that were involved with the picnic last year are involved now with The Armory,” Armory owner Pablo Guzman said. “We looked at the space and realized we could do a smaller version. That way, we wouldn’t have to skip a year.”
Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door. Every ticket comes with a free 3D Print from NoCo 3D Prints. For more information, go to TinyUrl.com/LilDarks.
