“He has already said he wants to come back. He is familiar, and it shows the love that he has for that program. A lot of people thought he was unfairly let go. A place like LSU needs somebody who embodies the spirit of Louisiana.”
Orgeron, who played at LSU in 1979 before transferring to Northwestern State to finish his playing career, also coached at Ole Miss from 2005-07 and at USC in 2013 before taking the reins at LSU in 2016 following the firing of Les Miles.
