It’s only seven games into the season, but Josh Giddey is off to a pretty incredible start. He’s 0.4 assists per game away from averaging a triple-double. His 24.4 points per game are easily a career high. He’s shooting an amazing 41.9% from three. And lastly, he’s finally starting to play like a 6’8 jumbo guard. Giddey is in year five of his NBA career, but he turned 23 less than a month ago. It feels like he’s starting to figure out how to use his size and how good he can be. Tonight, against a smaller Bucks backcourt, we should see a pretty fun matchup for the Bulls’ best player thus far. The Bulls’ defensive effort on Tuesday was pretty spectacular. Well, at least the fourth quarter was. They held Philly without a field goal for the final 6+ minutes of the final frame, which helped spark the comeback. While Billy Donovan’s team might not be loaded with true superstars, their depth has really been insanely good this year, and it’s given teams issues. More of that tonight against a Bucks team that’s 3-1 at home this season. Playing the Bucks means trying to stop (more like contain) Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak is off to an outstanding start to the season, averaging 32.3 PPG, 12.6 RPG, and 6.3 APG while shooting an unreal 67.7% from the field. It’ll take a full team effort to slow down Giannis tonight. It’s fun to be excited to watch this matchup and challenge for the Bulls, knowing they’re playing good basketball as opposed to dreading it and just hoping for the best.Injury Report
