ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A Toronto-based video game artist made a stop in Rochester to showcase his creations. Thursday marked the first night of the pop-up arcade called “Games by Droquen” at the Visual Studies Workshop on King Street.
The arcade features a variety of action and puzzle games created by Alexander Martin. We caught up with Martin to find out what it means to see people come out to play his games.
“It’s been really nice seeing everyone enjoy the games. I feel like I’m always surprised now at how hard the games are and I feel like common game design advice would see this and be like, how do I make this easier for players?” Martin said.
The final night of the arcade is Friday. It runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Visual Studies Workshop. You can learn more here.
