Trey Benson (Cardinals) was the highest-recommended RB waiver wire pickup this week.
Analysis
It’s not every day you can pick up a running back expected to top his depth chart this late in the fantasy season. But after missing a month on injured reserve, Trey Benson should return this week or next to reclaim the starting role in Arizona. He was the next man up after James Conner went down, but didn’t have a chance to flash his potential before going down himself.
This might be your last chance to stash him away before his impending return makes him a more popular add and his rostership climbs too high. If you’re hurting at running back, Benson should be a plug-and-play RB2/RB3 down the stretch.
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Who are the best stashes from the Fantasy Football RB Rankings?
Blake Corum and Tank Bigsby are the best running back stashes ahead of Week 10.
Blake Corum, RB – Rams (9%)
It feels like we’ve been doing this for years with Kyren Williams —at least since Blake Corum was taken in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft— but we may actually be seeing a significant split in the backfield. With Corum handling 13 more carries in Week 9, Williams now has handled 52.6% of the team’s carries over the last three games, down from the 66.7% rate he handled through Week 5.
The caveat here is that the Rams outscored their opponents 86-20 over those three games, so maybe it was all gamescript-dependent. But the team’s Week 8 bye was mixed in, so perhaps this is a slight change in philosophy. As it stands, Corum could be in desperation FLEX consideration if the Rams are massive favorites. With that said, he should be a main handcuff target for teams looking toward the playoffs.
Tank Bigsby, RB – Eagles (27%)
Philadelphia comes out of the bye with Tank Bigsby firmly established as the RB2 behind Saquon Barkley. The rookie’s Week 8 showing (9 carries for 79 yards, 8.8 yards after contact per attempt) highlighted both his burst and patience behind an improving offensive line. While Barkley’s groin injury doesn’t appear serious, there’s a chance the team may ease off of him as the playoffs approach after his heavy 2024 usage. With Will Shipley and A.J. Dillon seeing minimal involvement, Bigsby should continue to operate as the clear “breather” option —and he’d vault into every-week RB2 territory if Barkley were to miss time. He belongs on benches in all competitive leagues.
