I am constantly traveling, whether it’s for work or pleasure. In a TikTok created by Brooke Raybould, a creator who often shares hacks for parents on the go, she shows how she does laundry while traveling with her family. What she does is she always travels with small packets of sink detergent meant for clothing. These packets are incredibly small, are filled with a powder, and make washing your clothes in a small space nice and easy.
Another plus to using these sink detergent packets is that you can fit tons of them in your carry-on. They are thin and compact, so you can easily slide them in between packing cubes or on the sides of your luggage. Plus, washing your clothes allows you to keep all of your clothing organized in your carry-on, and you won’t have to create an extra space or packing cube for dirty clothing.
Lightweight Detergent Sheets Are Great To Use, Too
One thing that I personally swear by is lightweight detergent sheets. When I finally discovered these, it was after I had already traveled for a year on my Broadway tour. I was constantly lugging around a small container of Tide detergent–and one time, it even exploded in my suitcase! A friend finally showed me that she uses detergent sheets in the washer instead, and while I was hesitant that they weren’t going to clean my clothes as well as liquid detergent did, I gave them a try.
