According to a statement shared on Facebook by the Faur and Aldrin Families on Wednesday, Oct. 29, Faur passed away “peacefully” on the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 28 “with her husband and her son, Vlad Ghenciu by her side.”
“I am so fortunate to have found and married the love of my life,” Aldrin, 95, added. “She brought joy to everything we did together. I will miss her dearly.”
Aldrin and Faur first met in December 2017 at a work event and began dating in May 2018. The couple said "I do" on Jan. 20 2023 — Aldrin's 93rd birthday.
He also told the outlet he had "never been happier in my life" and was "lucky beyond words" to be with her.
Faur's cause of death is currently unknown.
