1. Cherry Creek (8-0) won vs. Eaglecrest, 42-0: The Bruins defense posted its third shutout in four games and fourth of the season in another dominant 5A Centennial League showing. Senior running back and UConn commit Jayden Fox ran in four touchdowns, the last coming early in the third quarter to go up 42-0, and senior quarterback Brady Vodicka had a pair of touchdown passes to move the team’s season scoring margin to 351-71. Next week: at Smoky Hill, 7 p.m. Oct. 24.

2. Ralston Valley (8-0) won vs. Columbine, 35-21. Senior Zeke Andrews’ spectacular season continued Thursday, as the quarterback piled up 373 total yards and hooked up with Ethan Shirazi for a 90-yard catch-and-run touchdown early in the fourth quarter that proved to be the game-winning score. Andrews completed 21 of 27 passes for 273 yards and two TDs, and also ran 10 times for 100 yards and a score. Junior Sawyer Blomquist added a pair of rushing TDs, while Shirazi finished with six catches for 136 yards. The Mustangs are 8-0 for the first time in six years. 3. Mountain Vista (8-0) won vs. Fruita Monument, 62-7: The Golden Eagles put 49 points on the board by halftime and topped a season high for points scored in a game to move a win away from their second straight league title with another dominant showing Thursday night. Next week: at Rock Canyon, 7 p.m. Oct. 24.

4. Arvada West (7-0) vs. Denver East, 7 p.m. Friday. Next week: vs. Chatfield, 4 p.m. Oct. 24.

5. Legend (8-1) won vs. No. 9 Fountain-Fort Carson, 56-13: The Titans’ all-systems juggernaut let loose, getting a punt return touchdown from Freddie Burke, two punt blocks from senior Peter Olmi, eight tackles for loss on defense and 394 total yards of offense. Senior QB DJ Bordeaux piled up 305 total yards (229 passing, 76 rushing), Ryken Banks had 145 total yards (79 rushing, 66 receiving) on 16 touches, and Ryan Iglesias caught four passes for 92 yards and a TD as the Titans took a 42-6 lead into halftime and never looked back. 6. Valor Christian (5-2) vs. ThunderRidge, 7 p.m. Friday. Next week: at Fruita Monument, 6 p.m. Oct. 23.

1. Dakota Ridge (8-0) won vs. Highlands Ranch, 48-13: The Eagles scored touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams in yet another 4A South Metro League romp. Seniors Dylan Kellner and Landon Kalsbeck both returned fumbles for TDs, Deacon Lenhardt took an interception 62 yards to the house, and senior Nathan Rodriguez touched the ball three times and scored each time. He had two receptions for 146 yards and two scores and also returned a punt 47 yards for a TD. Next week: at Golden, 7 p.m. Oct. 24.

2. Montrose (7-0) vs. Mesa Ridge, 6 p.m. Friday. Next week: vs. Widefield, 6 p.m. Oct. 24.

3. Palmer Ridge (7-0) at No. 6 Vista Ridge, 7 p.m. Friday. Next week: vs. Rampart, 7 p.m. Oct. 24.

4. Broomfield (6-1) at Grand Junction Central, 7 p.m. Friday. Next week: at No. 7 Riverdale Ridge, 7 p.m. Oct. 24.

Junior QB Nico Rizzello was an efficient 10-of-12 passing for 115 yards and a TD, while Levi Carlucci returned two punts for touchdowns, the last one coming in the third quarter to give Monarch a 48-0 lead.
