Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

High school junior Adalynn Biegler from Big Lake, Minnesota, has verbally committed to swim and study at the University of Tennessee beginning in the fall of 2027. She wrote on social media:

“I am extremely blessed to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Tennessee! I wanted to thank all of my family, friends, and coaches for the endless support that helped me through this process. A huge thank you to coach Matt Kredich, Sarah, Ashley, and the rest of the Tennessee coaching staff for giving me this incredible opportunity! I can’t wait to be a Lady Vol! GO VOLS!!! ”

Biegler swims for Monticello High School and Edina Swim Club. With sprint free times of 22.2/48.8, she is our #10 recruit on the Way Too Early list of top girls’ swimmers in the high school class of 2027.

The coaching staff in Rocky Top have been on fire this fall, gathering verbal commitments like there’s no tomorrow. The women’s class of 2031 has already earned pledges from #10 Biegler, #15 Kaidy Stout, and #17 Sloane Whelehan, while the men’s program has picked up verbals from #4 Collin Holgerson, #7 Hayden Vicknair, and #14 Brayden Capen.

At only 15 years old, Biegler is an elite sprinter who will not only bolster the Tennessee sprint group, but will also add firepower to the Lady Vols’ relays. In high school swimming, she is the double defending champion in the 50/100 free at Minnesota’s MSHSL Girls Class A State Championship. As a freshman, she won the individual events with PBs of 22.80 and 50.25; she also clocked a lifetime-best 25.78 50 back leading off the medley relay. Last fall, the sophomore won the 50/100 with PBs of 22.38/49.20, led off the medley relay with a PB of 25.33, and split 22.22 on a leg of the 200 free relay.

After high school season, she competed at the 2024 U.S. Open and once again dropped time in all her events. She was runner-up in the 50 free (22.27), 4th in the 100 free (48.87), 17th in the 100 back (54.86), 10th in the 100 fly (54.64), and 11th in prelims of the 200 IM (2:02.17).

At Minnesota Swimming’s Senior Short Course Championships in March, Biegler established a PB in the 200 free (1:47.01) and lowered her recent bests in the 50 back (25.22), 100 back (54.37), 100 fly (54.31), and 200 IM (2:00.40).

Biegler finished long-course season with new lifetime bests in the 50 free (25.51), 100 free (55.56), 200 free (2:01.82), 50 back (29.86), 100 back (1:03.33), 50 fly (27.58), 100 fly (1:00.37), and 200 IM (2:18.19).

Tennessee has become a sprint free powerhouse in recent years. The men went 1-3 in the 50 free final at NCAA’s last year and Jordan Crooks, Guilherme Caribe, Nikoli Blackman, and Lamar Taylor combined to win the national title in the 4×50 free. At Women’s NCAA’s, Camille Spink placed 4th in the 50 free final and Spink, Mona McSharry, Jillian Crooks, and Amber Myers combined for a 9th-place finish in the 4×50 free relay. Jillian Crooks will be a senior when Biegler arrives in Knoxville.

With 2 years left to go, Biegler is already fast enough to score at the conference level. She would have been on the ‘B’/’C’ bubble in the 50 free at the 2025 SEC Championships, and would have been just short in the 100/200 (It took 48.82/1:46.68 to get second swims in those events).

Best SCY times:

50 free – 22.27 100 free – 48.87 200 free – 1:47.01 100 fly – 54.31 200 IM – 2:00.40 100 back – 54.47
