One of the fastest rising stars in all of college football this season is Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor, and this newfound fame has very little to do with his elite blocking ability.
It instead revolves around the unique ways that Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb has been using Proctor in goal-line situations. Grubb has been drawing up plays that give the big man the ball and letting him barrel towards the end zone.
Former Alabama defensive backs Terrion Arnold and Patrick Surtain II have taken notice of Proctor’s new role in the Tide’s offense and gave their thoughts on how their alma mater has been using the behemoth.

Surtain also said that he wouldn’t know what to think if he saw Proctor on the outside, and jokingly added that the only thing to do would be to cut his legs out from under him and “hope for the best.”
“If I see a 6’5 400-pound lineman on the perimeter about to catch a pass, TA (Terrion Arnold) said it best, man, you just got to cut him and hope for the best,” Surtain said. “Shout out to Kadyn Proctor, though. Big boy, getting the job done, you love to see it.”
The former UA standouts will certainly be watching the Third Saturday in October clash. We’ll see if Proctor’s Krispy package gets called.
