The dust is finally settling on a turbulent week for the Arizona Cardinals.

Tensions were high during the Cardinals’ 22-21 loss to the Titans, as it came after they had a 21-3 lead in the game.
The franchise had a chance to put the game to bed when Emari Demercado had cleared his opponents for a 72-yard touchdown.
This touchdown would have increased Arizona’s lead to 28-6 with 12:40 remaining.
However, Demercado dropped the ball, and the play was ruled a fumble, with the Titans getting possession at their 20, who eventually scored a touchdown before turning the game around and snatching the victory.
In the aftermath of the defeat, a video of Gannon confronting Demercado went viral as he yelled in his face before appearing to hit him in frustration.
Gannon was fined $100k by his team, and the NFL announced no further action would be taken.
The head coach apologised for his behaviour the following Monday.
“I didn’t see the video,” he said.
“But, yeah, I actually — I woke up this morning and didn’t feel great about it, honestly. And so in a team meeting, I addressed it. I apologized to Emari, I apologized to the team. And I just told him I kind of let the moment of what happened get the better of me there.”

In a report by The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, some figures in the NFL circles disagree with the team owner’s Michael Bidwell’s decision to fine his head coach.
“It was a meltdown. He’s a first-time head coach, felt helpless. I don’t think they needed to fine him. You deal with that internally,” one NFC head coach said per Russini.
According to Russini, another rival executive was blunt: “The owner cut his balls off in front of his entire team.”
“If you’re going to fine him $100,000 because you feel that strongly, then just fire him,” another owner said per Russini.
Demercado takes responsibility for Cardinals’ loss
It should be noted that Demercado did not address the Gannon incident in his post-game interview with reporters and instead took full accountability for his costly blunder
“I just made a mistake,” Demercado said.
