Max Holloway went full DJ Khaled when responding to Charles Oliveira’s callout at UFC Rio.
Holloway took to X in the immediate aftermath of the UFC Fight Night event in Brazil, where Oliveira bounced back from his June defeat to Ilia Topuria by submitting Mateusz Gamrot in two rounds.

After defeating Gamrot, Oliveira said: “Hey Hunter [Campbell] (UFC matchmaker), Charles Oliveira vs Max Holloway BMF?”
And Holloway wasted no time in responding, sharing a meme of Khaled’s famous two-word catchphrase, ‘another one,’ suggesting he’s ready to make the fight happen.
Holloway hasn’t fought since defeating Dustin Poirier in the latter’s retirement fight at UFC 318 three months ago, having previously – just like Oliveira – lost a lightweight title bout to Topuria.
He is currently recovering from a serious injury picked up in his win over Poirier at UFC 318, which he won by unanimous decision.
As a former UFC featherweight champion, ‘Blessed’ is one of the most accomplished athletes in Dana White‘s promotion.
After losing a 2013 bout to Conor McGregor in his youth, Holloway embarked on a whopping 13-fight winning streak during which he fought Oliveira for the first time.
The pair headlined a UFC Fight Night event 10 years ago in Saskatoon, Canada, and it took an in-form Holloway just 99 seconds to stop Oliveira in the fight.
Oliveira blamed an oesophageal injury for the stoppage, and the pair haven’t fought since.
There is definitely unfinished business between Holloway and Oliveira, with both men currently ranked No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, in the UFC’s lightweight hierarchy.
Holloway hinted at this when he later followed up his two-word response during a live stream after Oliveira’s win on Saturday night.

Oliveira and Holloway have both been knocked out by current UFC lightweight champion Topuria in the last 12 monthsGettyHolloway: Oliveira can fight me on my terms
“Why wouldn’t I be interested? It would be a fun one,” Holloway said.
“We’ve been talking about this fight, me and him have a history. He has blamed [the first defeat] on some type of injury.
“I guess we get to figure it out now… I’m not going to Rio, I’ll go to Las Vegas or something. We fight on my terms.”
Referencing his incredible win over Brazil’s Jose Aldo in Rio eight years ago, Holloway added: “We went to Rio – we did that with the King of Rio.
“Now, it’s my turn to have a say.”
Nothing has been officially announced by the UFC yet, but it seems that Holloway and Oliveira would be more than willing to have it out a second time.
