A WOMAN was sexually assaulted on a train.
Police are investigating the incident on the service from Staines to London at around 7.50am last Thursday (October 2).
It’s understood a man got on a Feltham Station and sat next to the victim.
British Transport Police say: “Shortly afterwards he began touching her hair while touching himself inappropriately over his clothing.
“The woman initially did not notice what was happening but what was made aware by other passengers.
“The man was confronted by another passenger who escorted him off the train at Richmond.
“An investigation has been launched and enquiries to identify the man are ongoing.”
The man is described as white, tall and of stocky build, with a shaved head. He was wearing a black tracksuit top and bottoms.
Officers are asking anyone who was on the train and witnessed the incident to make contact by texting BTP on 61016, or call 0800 40 50 40, using the reference 283 of 2 October.
