CPB Contractor’s scope of work includes building a four-storey school for 600 pupils from nursery to year six, with an administration building, multipurpose hall, playing fields, community areas and learning spaces.
The company will begin with early works and earthworks, including demolition of the existing Queens Gardens carpark and will collaborate with EIW and ARM architects on design, material use and building methods.
The design allows for future expansion to accommodate 200 extra students.
Jason Spears, CPB Contractors’ managing director, said: “We’re pleased to be working in partnership with the West Australian government to support delivery of this vital piece of community infrastructure, supporting their commitment to deliver the best education facilities for the growing population in central Perth.”
The primary school is due to open at the start of the 2029 school year.
