Roughly 24 hours before hosting their Media Day at the Advocate Center, the Chicago Bulls revealed their official 2025-26 training camp roster.
Nearly an identical 15-man unit to the one that ended last season returns to the court. The only changes to the projected full-time roster came at the wings, where the Bulls added Isaac Okoro and rookie Noa Essengue. The front office opted not to bring Talen Horton-Tucker back, while they traded Lonzo Ball to the Cleveland Cavaliers to acquire Okoro.
Speaking of which, clearly the pieces they added in the Zach LaVine trade last February left a strong impression. Despite initial rumors on deadline day, the Bulls chose not to move Zach Collins, Kevin Huerter, or Tre Jones. We also heard zero rumors pop up during the offseason that suggested Chicago was looking to trade any of the role players. In fact, the Bulls went on to re-sign Tre Jones to a three-year, $24.0 million deal that will pay him a flat $8.0 million each season. Investing further in the savvy facilitator seemingly played a part in the organization’s decision to swap Ball out for a more durable, defensive wing.
Of course, the other big free agency signing came only a matter of weeks ago. The Bulls finally struck a deal with Josh Giddey after months of stiff negotiations. The two sides settled on a four-year, $100 million deal, meeting in the middle of what both sides initially wanted. Some were quick to criticize the signing, but recent details have made the contract look pretty favorable for Chicago.
Joining the Bulls’ all-but deadlocked 15-man unit for training camp will be three two-way players and one Exhibit 10 player. The latter, Mouhamadou Gueye, is likely to be waived and placed on the G League team in a couple of days. As for the current two-way contract players, it’s hard to imagine any losing their spot throughout the preseason unless the Bulls begin to bring in several more flyers on Exhibit 10 deals to stir up competition.
Anyway, we mapped out some key Media Day questions for the Bulls this weekend, so give that a read here. You can otherwise take a full look at the team’s current 19-man roster below!
