Dvalishvili then submitted him during their rematch in June, to retain the title that he’d claimed in their inaugural bout.
As he looks ahead to making a comeback, with the hopes of returning to winning ways, O’Malley has now teased his plans.
He explained on his podcast BrO’Malley: “Yeah, the White House card, if Cory [Sandhagen] goes out there and wins, I beat whoever is next, that’s interesting.
“But regardless, I want to fight within the next four or five months or whatever it is, so that I’ll also be ready for that because they [UFC] said it could be in June, could be International Fight Week or could be July.”
He was cryptic enough to leave fans up in the air regarding a specific return date and an opponent, leaving the official announcement to be made by the UFC.
Although he did reference the fact that UFC CEO, Dana White, is teaming up with US President, Donald Trump, to schedule historic event as part of the 250th celebrations.
Should Cory Sandhagen take Dvalishvili’s bantamweight crown when they fight on October 4, O’Malley thinks that he would be back in the running for another shot at the title.
Teasing Sandhagen as the man he wants to fight should he gain a place on the White House card, and have a title up for grabs.
O’Malley is keeping his options open and has also expressed before that he would be up for facing Song Yadong.

While he gears up for his return, which could be as early as November, O’Malley remains set on being a part of the UFC White House card next year.
