Marc Cucurella has found himself on the receiving end of boos from the very first minute in Chelsea’s clash with Bayern Munich.
The Spanish defender started for the Blues in their Champions League clash at the Allianz Arena, and it’s fair to say he has had the home crowd on his back.

With the score at 1-1 in extra time of the quarter-final clash, Jamal Musiala’s shot hit the left-back’s hand inside the penalty box.
But neither of the English officials – referee Anthony Taylor and VAR Stuart Attwell – decided to award Germany a penalty.
In the end, Spain went on to snatch victory through a late Mikel Merino strike to advance into the final, breaking German hearts.
Some fans were so furious at the decision not to award them a penalty that they even started a petition to get the game replayed, with more than 350,000 signing it.
UEFA later admitted the officials should have awarded a penalty, with the Spaniards going on to win the entire tournament.
And it seems the 75,000 Bayern fans in attendance tonight haven’t forgotten, with Cucurella being subjected to constant jeers.
It has been a difficult evening in all senses for the left-back, with Chelsea currently trailing the German champions 3-1.
Bayern took the lead after 20 minutes when Trevoh Chalobah deflected Michael Olise’s cross into his own net.
England captain then doubled his side’s lead from the penalty spot seven minutes later after he was fouled by Moises Caicedo in the box.
The jeers were all to do with this moment at Euro 2024ITV Harry Kane netted his 10th career goals against Chelsea in the Champions LeagueCole Palmer pulled a goal back for the Blues on 29 minutes to half the deficit, but more misery was in store after half time.
Kane grabbed his second goal of the night in the 63rd minute, producing a clinical finish after some sloppy play out from the back from Enzo Maresca’s side.
Cucurella will be desperate to silence the Germany crowd by helping to inspire Chelsea to an unlikely late comeback.
