James “Jimmy” Lynch, age 81 of Lebanon TN, walked into the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, September 15, 2025 after a long health struggle. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars, is 1 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2025 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers: JT Ritchie and David France. Interment in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends to celebrate his victory on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday from noon until the service at 1 p.m.

James Lester Lynch was born in Smith County, TN to Oma Ritchie Hensley Lynch and Johnny Lester Lynch. He married the love of his life, Judy Holmes, and together they built a good life with their son Lloyd, and later the grandchildren. Jimmy worked for Ford Glass Plant until his retirement after 35 years. He was a member and a deacon of Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church.

Jimmy had a love for the Lord, nature, and for the simple things in life. Bird and squirrel watching provided endless entertainment, partly because those creatures were challenging to his other passion of gardening. Fishing, especially crappie, was a favorite pastime though he also enjoyed playing golf. Jimmy liked reading Amish and Western books too. His wonderful sense of humor was a source of light for everyone.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy Holmes Lynch, son James (Kathy) Lynch, grandchildren, Brittney (Daniel) France and Megan (James) Ritchie, great-grandchildren Evelyn France, JT Ritchie, Alaina France, David France, and Amelia Ritchie, and brothers Ronnie (Judith) Lynch and Johnny Lynch. He is preceded in death by his parents Ritchie and Lester Lynch, brothers Billy and Stevie Lynch, and sisters Dorothy Davis and Jeanette Davis.
