Conor Benn could go straight into a world title fight after his upcoming rematch with Chris Eubank Jr.

“People always mention his name, but I always thought there was no point in saying anything because I didn’t have a bargaining chip.
“Why would he fight me, but I’m world champion now.”

A fight between Crocker and Benn would be easy to make, as both fighters are promoted by Eddie Hearn.
The Matchroom Boxing chief staged the show over the weekend and seemed more than happy to pit Crocker and Benn against one another.

Benn vs Crocker is also an easy fight to get over the line when it comes to sanctioning body politics.
The IBF doesn’t currently have a mandatory for their version of the welterweight title, as Crocker vs Donovan was for a vacant belt.
Benn is ranked at No.7 by the IBF at super welterweight at the time of writing, although he plans to move back down to 147lbs after his middleweight sequel with Eubank Jr.
