BATAVIA, N.Y. — The woman who pleaded guilty to her role in the death of a Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputy is heading back to prison.
Lyndsey Wilcox was resentenced to six years in prison for violating probation. The District Attorney’s Office says she committed a number of violations including curfew, drinking alcohol, and being caught in a car with someone who fled from police.
Wilcox was serving five years probation for attacking Sgt. Thomas Sanfratello at Batavia Downs in March of last year.

Police say Sanfratello was escorting Wilcox and Michael Elmore out of the casino for causing trouble. They say the two came back and Elmore used a metal chain to beat Sanfratello on his head. Sanfratello died at the scene.
Elmore was sentenced to 20 years in prison for Sanfratello’s death.
