Amman, SANA-The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization announced Thursday the dispatch of two humanitarian aid convoys—Jordanian and Qatari—to Syria, as part of a broader Arab initiative to support the country amid ongoing humanitarian challenges.
According to Jordan’s Al-Mamlaka TV, JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli stated that the Jordanian convoy, consisting of 14 trucks, was accompanied by a Qatari convoy of 27 trucks loaded with food and medical supplies. The joint effort reflects coordinated Jordanian-Qatari support and a unified Arab response to assist Syria in coping with the difficult conditions caused by recent unrest in Sweida Governorate.
Shibli confirmed that the aid was coordinated with the Syrian government for entry through the Jaber–Nassib border crossing, with distribution to be carried out by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent. The supplies will be delivered to affected communities in Sweida, as well as displaced families residing in shelters in Daraa and Damascus countryside.
