Northwestern University sent out an alert on Twitter at 6:43 p.m. Friday that police activity was present on their Evanston campus near the Mudd Library, at 2233 Tech Drive.
The alert advised to “take immediate precautionary measures and await further direction.”
It was not immediately known what the police were responding to.
