Shilo Sanders has been dealt a brutal lesson about the reality of life in the NFL.
The former Colorado Buffaloes star was picked up as an undrafted free agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but failed to make the roster having been tossed from his final preseason audition for throwing a punch.
Sanders may never play a snap in the NFLNow, the safety faces an uncertain future as he waits to see if another team is willing to give him a shot.

Thankfully, his Hall of Fame dad Deion made sure he hadn’t thrown all his eggs in one basket.
“I’ve been talking to my agent, and we’re waiting on the next opportunity,” Shilo said on his YouTube channel. “If that’s the NFL, cool, but God’s blessed me with a lot of talents to do other things other than play football.
“Mentally, I’m good, because I know that I got a lot of talents… every athlete comes to this point where you find yourself without the game of football, and then you think about what can you do next?”
Why was Shilo Sanders cut?
Shilo made four tackles to show glimpses of potential during preseason.
But in a stacked defensive back room, his punch was a major negative after head coach Todd Bowls described his actions as ‘inexcusable.’
As for what could be next, Shilo is keeping his options open.
“I’ve always done that my whole life, playing football, music, acting, modeling. I’m well versed, and my parents made sure of that,” he explained.
Deion didn’t seem too concerned when the news broke that Shilo hadn’t made the Bucs’ roster.

“I prepared my kids for any and everything that could possibly happen in life and in sports…
“We’re praying that he gets another opportunity to go with a team, but if he doesn’t, the plans have already been put forward to what he’s going to do next.
“Shilo’s a man of many talents… all the Sanders are going to be straight with or without football.”
If Shilo heads to new pastures, the responsibility of keeping the Sanders name flying in the NFL will rest on Shedeur’s shoulders.
The quarterback achieved step one and made the Cleveland Browns roster after being drafted in the fifth round.

He is third on the depth chart behind veteran Joe Flacco and third-round pick Dillon Gabriel.
But there is a strong chance he will get a shot to prove he can be the man to finally stop the revolving door that is the starting Browns QB.
“It is just the constant clown show that the Cleveland Browns have been for years,” Will Gavin said on talkSPORT USA’s YouTube channel.
Co-host Brian T. Smith thinks Shedeur will have to do things the hard way.
“If Shedeur Sanders eventually becomes the starter for Cleveland, it will be for two reasons: he’s really good, and it ended up working out in his favor,” explained Smith.
“He went to the worst organization for him. The fact that he fell to the fifth round and went to an organization that already had Deshaun Watson, that went all in on Deshaun Watson when nobody else wanted to do that.
