(KRON) -- It's been two years since a 28-year-old Concord mother was killed after being shot while driving her car in Rodeo. The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office is resurfacing this case as they seek any new substantial leads in the investigation.

Daniella Stephanie Avila was the only occupant of her black BMW when gunfire erupted as she drove through the intersection of Mariposa Street at Vaqueros Avenue, according to CCCSO.
After she was shot, Avila still managed to drive to Rodeo Avenue in an attempt to find help, the sheriff's office said. Medical personnel arrived and tried life-saving measures, but she succumbed to her injuries at the location — leaving behind her then seven-year-son.

"Detectives continue to diligently investigate this homicide and are committed to seeking justice for Daniella," said the sheriff's office in a social media post.
