BRUCE Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis has broken down in tears in a new interview.
Emma, 47, was overcome with emotion while discussing the actor’s tragic dementia diagnosis.
ABCEmma Heming Willis appeared on GMA for a chat with Diane Sawyer about her husband Bruce Willis and his dementia diagnosis[/caption]She also revealed the scary “first signs” she spotted in her 70-year-old acting icon husband.
Bruce’s doting wife Emma has opened up to Diane Sawyer about seeing flashes of his “warm” personality despite his dementia.
She explained how she still has “moments” where his charismatic personality shines through.
Emma opened up about his “hearty laugh” and “twinkle in his eye” as he battles his frontotemporal dementia (FTD) diagnosis.
Speaking to Diane in the interview, Emma emotionally said: “It’s his laugh, right? He has such a hearty laugh.
“And sometimes you’ll see that twinkle in his eye, or that smirk. I just get transported.”
Tearing up and choking them back as she spoke, Emma went on, “And it’s just hard to see, because as quickly as those moments appear, then it goes.”
As she said the last word, she snapped her fingers to demonstrate how fast those moments vanish.
In March 2022, it was tragically revealed that Bruce had been diagnosed with aphasia.
Aphasia is a language disorder that affects the ability to communicate.
One year after his diagnosis of aphasia was revealed, Emma revealed his dementia diagnosis.
