Bulls Fest Thoughts, Dalen Terry Works Out With NBA Legend, Playing Time, and Other Bulls Bullets ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

As I strolled into the United Center atrium around 12:30 p.m. CT on Sunday afternoon, a four-time NBA champion stood in the corner.

A smiling Horace Grant patiently introduced himself to one fan after another. Among the players of the past and present attending the organization’s third edition of Bulls Fest, he was arguably the biggest draw. But he sure didn’t act like it. You couldn’t help but love seeing Grant kindly interact with each person who waited in line, especially the youngsters. Any time a kid stepped forward, they were met by the six-foot-ten Bulls legend bending over for a fist bump.

The best interaction came near the end, when a child sporting a thick pair of goggles was ushered over for his brief meet-and-greet. Following the signature first-bump, Grant pointed right at the shades and complimented the kid. Say what you will about the current state of Chicago Bulls basketball, but THAT’S what an event like this is all about.

via Elias Schuster You have to admit, having Chuck Swirsky announce your pickup game is a pretty darn cool experience! The Bulls’ radio play-by-play man stood on the sideline for the festival’s 3-on-3 championship and called the action. He came prepared with notes and everything! A true pro!

Bulls Fest is plenty busy on Day 2. Pretty sick to have your 3-on-3 championship game announced by the very own Chuck Swirsky … pic.twitter.com/ic0nKuaUwD

— Bleacher Nation Bulls (@BN_Bulls) August 24, 2025 Bulls Fest also gave fans their first look at the re-invented pinstripes! The new statement edition jerseys really pop in person, and it only feels right that this version will have the Jordan logo stitched in the corner! You will be able to get your hands on some new pinstripe merch on Oct. 15, by the way.

— Elias Schuster (@Schuster_Elias) August 24, 2025 Dalen Terry is getting some help from a former MVP. The fourth-year wing shared some photos of himself working out alongside Steve Nash on Instagram (h/t BullsMuse). If the former first-round pick is looking to improve his IQ heading into a contract year, there aren’t many better NBA legends to join in the gym. I’d love to hear more about exactly what these two worked on and what Terry took away from the experience. Nevertheless, expectations for Terry this season are … tempered. While I wish we could say the opposite, there is not much of a clear path toward meaningful playing time for the 23-year-old. The addition of Isaac Okoro, in particular, gives the Bulls another wing who should comfortably be ahead of Terry in the rotation. Now, did Terry show some progress as a scrappy, high-energy defender last season? Absolutely. But Okoro is a far more proven product and could prove to be a real difference-maker for this team on that end of the floor. At the end of the day, Terry just has not shown an elite enough skill to warrant being a staple in Billy Donovan’s rotation. twitter.com/BullsMuse_/status/1959409903589835225 Drew Stevens of The Bigs made a very good point. Billy Donovan loves having multiple ball-handlers on the floor, so adding Isaac Okoro to the starting five over someone more comfortable with the ball in his hands could say a lot about how highly this coaching staff views Matas Buzelis. There has been A LOT of talk about the sophomore commanding a much larger on-ball role this season, but will that happen from the jump? Starting Okoro could suggest as much, while going with Tre Jones or even Kevin Huerter could mean they will ease Buzelis into that position.

As a proponent of lineups with three ball handlers, Billy Donovan choosing to insert Isaac Okoro into the starting lineup may say more about his faith in Matas Buzelis than anything else.

— Drew Stevens (@Drew_H_Stevens) August 24, 2025 Whenever I see a classic Bulls intro on my timeline, I have to share it. twitter.com/FastbreakHoops5/status/1959439309473243576 While I am playfully optimistic, I’m not sure I would be ready to deem the Cubs all the way back. The Blackhawks extended one of their young stars, and Tab shared even more thoughts on what the deal could mean long-term. Want to win $500,000? Same! Our friends over at 4for4 have partnered with Splash for a massive NFL survivor pool competition. A $50 entry will throw your hat in the ring and give you a chance to walk away with some life-changing cash. You can learn a lot more about the opportunity here. Can’t hurt to give it a try, right?
