(PINPOINT WEATHER) -- Back to school is looking quiet and pleasant with low 70s and mid- to upper 60s locked in across the Carolinas. Skies are partly cloudy with light winds to kick off the workweek before cooler temperatures settle in for the workweek.
Look for 60s to settle in for the bus stop forecast, but highs will make a run for the low to mid-80s heading into the peak heating hours of the day. Winds will be light out of the north between 3 and 8 miles per hour.
Skies will be partly cloudy Monday, with mountain counties trailing a few degrees behind uptown. We’ll be limited to the 70s this Monday afternoon before a cool evening settles in overnight.
Lows will bottom out in the 60s and even 50s heading into our early morning hours on Tuesday. Highs will settle well below normal through mid-week, with low 80s and upper 70s expected through Wednesday.
We’ll hold off on rain chances for much of the week, with Friday bringing a low rain chance to end the week. Low 80s linger through the weekend, with rain chances rolling back in by Sunday.
Monday: Partly Cloudy & Warm. High: 85.
Monday Night: Partly Cloudy & Cool. Low: 62.
