ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Police are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital Saturday night.

According to Rochester Police, officers responded to Jefferson Avenue for the report of a shooting at about 11:30 p.m. They found a 30-year-old man from Rochester with at least one gunshot wound to his lower body. Police said they determined the shooting actually happened on Champlain Street.

The victim was taken to Rochester General Hospital, and his injuries were determined not to be life-threatening, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to call 911.
