The Chicago Bulls’ celebration of Derrick Rose’s iconic career is just getting started.
The organization first honored the recently-retired guard with a halftime ceremony during the 2024-25 regular season. Teammates and coaches from Rose’s past were in attendance for the emotional night in a jam-packed United Center. The evening was surely one that Rose will not soon forget, but it was also only an appetizer.
On the same day as that ceremony, the Bulls announced that Rose would become the fifth player to ever have his jersey raised into the rafters. While they let everyone know this would not be done until the following season, the date was left open … until now. Fans can now circle January 24, 2026, on their calendar as the day Rose’s legacy will officially be cemented. But that’s not all!
The Bulls also announced on Thursday four additional games that will be used to commemorate Rose throughout the regular season.
Chicago Bulls Announce Derrick Rose Giveaway
As part of the Derrick Rose celebration, the Bulls will give fans a chance to secure four different collectables. The figurines were first teased in the franchise’s schedule release video last week, which showed an animated Benny the Bull stumbling upon a toy box that highlights Rose’s rookie year. This will now serve as the first of the giveaways, which will be handed out on Nov. 4, 2025, against the Philadelphia 76ers.

There is also definitely something to be said about this organization stretching this celebration out as a way to keep fans engaged. We shouldn’t really let them off the hook for that. Nevertheless, I fully expect there to be an extremely long line at every gate for each one of these games. And I will blame none of the people in line for being there.
We all know how much Rose meant to the city, and fans have every right to be excited about celebrating his career. Likewise, I will always respect a strong promotional giveaway, and I think this still falls under that category. I’d think it would be pretty cool to see all four of these sitting on your shelf!
Anyhow, if you want to get your hands on these, you will have to keep a close eye on when single-game tickets go on sale. The Bulls have yet to make every game available to the public. The only other option would be hitting the currently pricey resale market (people who already have their season tickets) or signing up for a package of games. The Bulls shared that those folks who have a 20-ticket plan will be allowed early access to secure these contests. As for those with a 10-ticket plan, they will either automatically have the games part of their package or be given the same presale access.
As for the jersey retirement game itself … I can’t even imagine how high those tickets will go. Let’s hope you can get in the queue early when tickets officially go on sale!
