Finnley Conklin from Oregon, Wisconsin has announced his commitment to continue his academic and athletic careers at Louisville beginning in the upcoming 2025-2026 season. He flips his commitment after previously committing to Auburn.

Conklin has previously represented Madison Aquatic Club but swam unattached this summer. He most recently swam at Futures in Madison. He swam a personal best 28.35 in the 50 breast to finish 4th and swam a season best 1:02.54 in the 100 breast for 3rd. He also was 30th in the 200 breast.
He notably swam numerous best times at Winter Juniors West last December. He swam to 3rd in the 100 breast in a best time 53.54. He also was 12th in the 200 breast in a 1:57.99 and 50th in the 50 free in a 20.69. Both also were best times.
Conklin’s Best SCY Times Are:
100 breast: 53.54 200 breast: 1:57.99The Louisville men finished 5th out of 15 teams at the 2025 ACC Championships. Thomas Bried led the way with 74 individual points including an ACC title in the 400 IM.
Based on his best times, Conklin is just off what it took to make it back this season at ACCs. It took a 53.12 in the 100 breast and a 1:55.80 in the 200 breast. Denis Petrashov led the team’s breaststroke group this past season with best times of a 50.27 in the 100 and a 1:49.37 in the 200. Petrashov just finished his senior season so the team’s top returning breaststroker is rising sophomore Jake Eccleston who had best times of 51.48 in the 100 breast and 1:50.19 in the 200 breast this past season.
Conklin will arrive this fall as a member of the class of 2029 along with Szymon Misiak, Gavin Sheyda, Ryder Hicks, Nate Thomas, Owen Stevens, and Ryan Henderson.
