The Maoists, on Friday, killed two villagers in Kandhamal district, suspecting them to be police informers. Among the two killed, one is son of a sarpanch. As per information, a group of 15 to 20 armed Maoists reached the village late in the evening. While one was shot point blank, the other was beaten to death. The two victims were identified as Bhabani Shankar Patra and Hemanta Patra. They also left a note warning other police informers to surrender within a fortnight or face similar consequences.
