Wyle recently announced at the Televerse 2025 festival, as reported by Variety, that he will be directing the sixth episode of the upcoming second season of The Pitt.
"I feel prepped, which is what you want to feel. This has been such an amazing experience for me, all the way down the line," Wyle went on.
This won't be Wyle's first time directing a television show, as his first directing job was an episode for his past sci-fi show, Falling Skies, in 2015. He then went on to direct five episodes of The Librarians between 2015 and 2018. The show originally premiered in 2014 and ran for four seasons.

After The Pitt premiered on HBO Max in January of this year and became an instant hit, fans have been eagerly awaiting any update about the upcoming second season. Production appears to be well on its way, and most of the main cast is returning.
While there is no official release date for The Pitt Season 2 yet, a rep for HBO Max told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, "The show is tracking a January premiere in a similar timeframe to season one."
