UFC will host a pay-per-view event at Chicago’s United Center, with a middleweight title bout highlighting the card.
That matchup will pit current middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis against challenger Khamzat Chimaev, who is unbeaten in his UFC career.
Here’s what you need to know about Saturday’s event.
What time do the fights start?
The early prelims for the card will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday evening. Those will air on ESPN-Plus.
The prelim bouts are scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m., and will be televised on ESPN-Plus, Disney-Plus and ESPN.
Finally, the pay-per-view portion of the evening’s card, including the main event, is set to get underway at 9 p.m. exclusively on ESPN-Plus.
How much will the fight cost on pay-per-view?
Those interested in purchasing the fight must be subscribed to ESPN-Plus, which costs $11.99 per month or $119.99 per year.
The fight can then be purchased for $79.99.
How much are tickets to the fight?
If fans would rather go to the United Center for the fights, it’s going to cost a pretty penny.
As of Thursday afternoon, the least expensive ticket at the United Center on Ticketmaster will set fans back at least $400, and those tickets are considered to be “limited view.” StubHub also has tickets available for a minimum price, with fees, of nearly $600.
Who is on the card?
The main event is a middleweight title fight between current champion Dricus Du Plessis against challenger Khamzat Chimaev.
Du Plessis has won 11 consecutive fights dating back to 2019, including his last three title bouts, with two wins against Sean Strickland.
He last entered the octagon in February, defeating Strickland via unanimous decision to retain his belt. He has a career 23-2-0 record in UFC, including nine knockouts.
Chimaev is an unbeaten 14-0-0 in his UFC career, and this will mark his first career title fight. In his most recent bout he submitted Robert Whittaker in October 2024 at UFC 308, dislocating his opponent’s jaw with a face-crank submission maneuver.
Here is the rest of the main card:
Featherweight: Lerone Murphy vs. Aaron Pico
Welterweight: Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates
Middleweight: Jared Cannonier vs. Michael Page
