User “Miro” led the pack, picking up 85 points total, while user “Perc.olator” finished in a close second with 84 points.
“Miro” successfully predicted the winners of the men’s 50 backstroke and women’s 400 IM. They also correctly predicted the entire podium in the men’s 400 IM, women’s 50 breaststroke, and women’s 4×100 medley relay. Even though they took a few major hits with China missing the final of the men’s 4×100 medley relay and Gretchen Walsh/Torri Huske finishing off the podium in the 50 freestyle, “Miro” still managed to hang on for the victory.
“Miro” be sure to pick your daily prizes from these.

However, there were still several big shake-ups beyond the gold medalists.
Heavy favorites Leon Marchand and Summer McIntosh both easily won their respective 400 IMs. Out of 492 entries, 486 entries picked Marchand to win gold in the men’s 400 IM. Of the other 6 entrants, 5 picked American Carson Foster, who ended up scratching the event due to injury. The other remaining entry picked Tomoyuki Matsushita, who finished 2nd in the event.
McIntosh was an even bigger favorite in the women’s 400 IM, where every entry picked her to win. However, the race for second was an upset as 296 entries had American Emma Weyant finishing 2nd when she actually finished 5th. Another 156 entries had Weyant’s teammate Katie Grimes finishing 2nd, but Grimes ended up finishing 6th. Only one entry correctly predicted Jenna Forrester to finish 2nd (shoutout to user “Thejhew”), while nobody predicted Mio Narita to sneak in for a tie for silver.
Competing under a neutral flag, Russian Kliment Kolesnikov was the heavy favorite to win the men’s 50 backstroke, with 442 users picking him to finish first. Ultimately, he ended up doing so in Championship Record fashion. Despite a strong showing at the World University Games, South African Pieter Coetze was underwhelmingly selected for 2nd in the event, with only 9 entries correctly predicting his silver medal performance. However, 209 entries correctly predicted Pavel Samusenko picking up a silver medal in the event. One of the major upsets of the night came with American Shaine Casas failing to final in the event as a majority of entries had him within their top 4, with him being the overwhelming favorite for bronze.
The women’s 4×100 medley relay was another relatively safe event to predict after the Americans broke the World Record at the 2024 Olympic Games. 462 entries correctly predicted the Americans winning the event, with another 18 tagging them in 2nd. 22 entries picked Australia to upset the Americans in their gold medal pursuit, but another 228 users correctly predicted them finishing 2nd. Another popular pick for 2nd was China, who ended up finishing 3rd. The biggest upset here came back in 4th, where the Russian Federation pulled off a slight upset over Canada. Only 23 users predicted the Russian Federation finishing 4th.
Of the events contested tonight, the women’s 50 breast was one of the only events that saw a relative split on predicted podium finishers. 115 entries correctly picked Ruta Meilutyte as the victor in the event. China’s Tang Qianting was the slight favorite entering the meet, with 212 entries picking her to win the event, but she ultimately finished 2nd. Another 102 entries picked Italian star Benedetta Pilato to finish 1st in the race. Pilato ended up touching 3rd for the bronze. In another upset, only 9 entries had 4th place finisher Anita Bottazzo finishing anywhere in the top 4 of the event.
Only 59 entries correctly predicted Australian Meg Harris to win the women’s 50 freestyle. After a strong meet at the US Trials, American Gretchen Walsh was the heavy favorite to win the race with 395 entries predicting her victory. However, Walsh ended up finishing 4th, just missing the podium after battling illness for a majority of the meet. Wu Qingfeng finishing 2nd was even more of an upset, as only 19 entries predicted her in that spot, with the majority of entries predicting her to finish 3rd or 4th. Only one entry from user “Bray” correctly predicted Qingfeng’s countrymate Cheng Yujie finishing 3rd in the event.
The biggest upset of the night came in the men’s 1500 freestyle, which saw World Record holder and heavy favorite Bobby Finke finish 3rd for the bronze. Ahmed Jaouadi won the gold in upset fashion, coming out atop a tightly contested race that saw the top 3 separated by only 2 seconds. Not a single user predicted Jaouadi’s victory in the event, with only 3 users picking him to finish 2nd in the race.
Another major upset came in the men’s 4×100 medley relay, as China and Australia failed to progress out of prelims. China was the favorite to win the event after claiming gold at the 2024 Olympic Games in an upset of the US, with 272 users predicting them to win. Overall, 448 entries predicted them to finish in the top 4 of the event. While not as heavily favored, Australia was a popular 4th-place pick, with 72 users predicting them to place there. Only 22 users correctly predicted the Russian Federation athletes, competing under the Neutral Athlete banner, to win the event. Likewise, only 23 users correctly predicted France finishing 2nd. Behind China, the US entered the meet as the favorites to win this event. However, the team ended up finishing 3rd after a week of tough performances and speculation about whether the team would even be capable of making the final. That pick wasn’t as uncommon, as 116 users correctly predicted that finish for the Americans.
