A convicted felon from North County who had been mistakenly released from federal custody was apprehended again after eluding law enforcement for approximately two hours.
Alejandro Zamora was recaptured Tuesday by law enforcement, including San Diego County Sheriff’s Office deputies from the Gang Unit Vista office, according to the Los Angeles office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The U.S. Marshals Service and Air National Guard also were part of the group that took Zamora into custody.
Zamora, allegedly a member of the Vista Homeboys gang, faces possible additional federal charges, according to the ATF.
