ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester fire crews battled a fire at an abandoned home on Pullman Avenue Tuesday morning.
Rochester Fire Department Lt. Jackie Sierra says at around 8 a.m., they responded to a report of a house fire. When they got there, they saw heavy smoke coming from the house, with fire on the first, second, and even the attic.
Sierra says the call initially came in as someone setting the house on fire, but nobody was there when they arrived. She says fire investigators will look into it once the fire is completely cleared.
One firefighter who responded to the fire experienced overheating Sierra says, but no other injuries were reported.
