Northbound Interstate 225 is closed in Aurora on Sunday evening for a crash that killed at least one person, according to the police department.
The Aurora Police Department first posted about the fatal single-vehicle crash on northbound I-225, just south of the Alameda Avenue exit, at 5:56 p.m. Sunday.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation, police said.
It’s unclear how many people were inside the car when it crashed or if anyone else was injured.
The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim killed in the crash and release their cause and manner of death at a later date.
