News by : (Parade) -

The California-based victim, who is in her 70s, was under the impression chatting with Morgan, 32, via TikTok, according to police reports via Mercury News. While messaging back and forth with the imposter, the person asked the woman for $500 so that they could fuel their private jet.

As the suspicious behavior continued from “Morgan,” the woman realized she was being scammed, and let the imposter know that she had caught on to their antics. However, she was faced with a bigger problem after showcasing her bravery.

The suspect demanded she cough up $10,000 and threatened to exploit her explicit photos if not.

The elderly woman isn’t the first fan of Morgan’s to be scammed by an imposter. In fact, influencer Macy Blackwell revealed that she was tricked into paying for tickets to the artist’s Sand in My Boots festival back in February.

Macy explained that she found a Facebook group with thousands of followers and contacted the group’s administrator for tickets. After sending $5,000 to the scammer, the content creator claimed that she didn’t hear back from the administrator for two hours. Once she received a fishy-looking email, she knew she had been scammed.

“Her whole page is gone,” she said. “Our whole message thread’s gone—which I was screenshotting as I was going anyway. Not like it matters now.”
