Rochester, N.Y. – A Rochester man is battling what police call life-threatening injuries from a shooting on Saint Paul Street Sunday morning.

Rochester Police told News10NBC that officers responded shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday for reports of a shooting. When officers got there, they found a 34-year-old man from Rochester with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to Strong Hospital in an ambulance, where his recovering.

The scene is still active as officers investigate, and part of Saint Paul Street is closed to traffic. Police do not have any suspects in custody, and officers say there is no immediate threat to public safety. Anyone who may have information that could help police with their investigation is asked to call 911.
