DENVER (KDVR) -- The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has issued a Medina Alert in the search for the driver and vehicle that hit a person on a bicycle early Wednesday morning.

CBI said on Wednesday around 1:30 a.m., a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in the 2700 block of South Santa Fe Drive. The crash left the bicyclist with serious bodily injury, and the driver left the scene.

Now law enforcement is asking the public for help in the search for the suspect vehicle, described in the alert as:

2013 Ford Focus Black Colorado license plate 814-ZRF

The vehicle will have damage to the front end, CBI said, and is likely leaking fluids as a result of the crash.

Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to call 911 or contact the Englewood Police Department at 303-761-7410.
