SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. – All air traffic has been temporarily suspended to and from the San Luis Obispo County Airport due to a power and communications outage.
According to the County of San Luis Obispo's Department of Airports, the outage impacts the Santa Barbara Air Traffic Control Tower and Terminal Radar Approach Control which is responsible for the arrival and departure of flights across Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
"This situation is entirely outside of our local control, however we want our passengers to know that we’re doing everything we can to stay informed and to share updates as quickly and clearly as possible," shared Courtney Johnson, Director of Airports. "The safety of everyone in our airspace remains the top priority, and we appreciate the public’s patience and understanding."
