A python snake was pulled from the control box panel of a CTA train after escaping from its owner over the weekend, Oak Park Fire Department said.
The Oak Park Fire Department was called Saturday evening to the Harlem train stop for the CTA Green Line to help secure a pet ball python snake that had gotten free from its owner.
The snake, named Lucius after the character from the Harry Potter series, slithered into a control box panel on the train, the fire department said.
Oak Park firefighters opened the box, rescued the snake, and reunited it with its owner.
