The 32 teams aren’t the only ones in need of a training camp and preseason.

ESPN’s First Take made an embarrassing mistake when discussing Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys.

Host Molly Qerim accidentally mistook former Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks for George Pickens when video was displayed of Prescott throwing a deep ball.

The training camp footage was from last season when Cooks was still on the team. He has since left Dallas and signed with the New Orleans Saints.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys traded for the embattled Pickens earlier in the offseason from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It was an honest and harmless mistake by Qerim, for which she quickly apologized.

“Quick cleanup on our part,” Qerim said. “Earlier we showed video that we identified as George Pickens at Cowboys training camp. It was not George, so we apologize on that mistake.”

Cooks was on the Cowboys the last two seasons, where he became an important piece to the offense next to star wideout CeeDee Lamb.

In two years, Cooks caught 80 passes for 916 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Cowboys will be expecting Pickens to far exceed those totals.

However, as training camp gets underway, most of the attention will be on star defender Micah Parsons and his contract situation.

It’s no secret that Parsons is looking for a massive extension. One that he rightfully deserves.

Owner Jerry Jones and Parsons haven’t been quiet about how they feel about the contract negotiations and what they each believe is fair.

Jones once again stuck his foot in his mouth ahead of training camp when talking about Parsons’ situation.

“Just because we sign him doesn’t mean we’re gonna have him. He was hurt six games last year. Seriously,” Jones said.

Parsons missed four games last year, not six. But who’s counting?

“Contracts are four, five years, OK? There’s a lot of water under the bridge if you step out there and do something in the first two or three,” Jones continued.

“You can get hit by a car, seriously. So there’s a lot to look at over a lot of years that could make a big difference. Have you ever heard of any clubs committing to players and then they didn’t pan out after they committed to them? We have.”

It was an awkward and unsolicited shot towards his star player.
