The former talk show host, 56, took to social media to share that exactly a year ago today (July 18) she went under the knife for a cosmetic procedure that now has her living her "best life."
Lake went on to explain that she chose to have surgery after working to get in the best shape of her life and losing 40 pounds. But amid her weight loss journey, she ended up with some unwanted extra skin.
"I had lost 40 lbs and did not like the extra skin that hung from below my chin. It was never going to tighten up on its own. Not at 55," Lake wrote on Instagram.
Now, one year later, Lake says she looks back on her "brave choice" and considers it one of the best things she's ever done for herself. She went on to share a series of photos, including before and after pics as well as snaps of her recovery journey.
