The longtime Food Network star recently joked about chefs who appear on morning talk shows and how everything about their meals always seem to go exactly according to plan.
He continued, "It's unbelievable! Savannah Guthrie's just like, 'This is unbelievable.'"
Instead, Flay joked that he wished morning shows would tell the truth everyone once in a while.
Fallon went on to recall a time where he had a chef visiting the show and things actually did go awry. When the chef realized the burner wasn't working, Fallon says he started making noises to imitate the stove.
Fallon didn't reveal if the food ever got cooked — or what he thought of it.
