UA Parking offers new “Park and Ride” permit ...Middle East

News by : (The Crimson White) -

UA Parking Services will offer a new parking permit, the “Park and Ride” permit, to commuter students for the upcoming semester.

The permit, which costs $187.50 for the 2025-26 school year, allows holders to park in the lots off of Ruby Tyler Parkway, across from the Campus Support Services building. They may then take a Crimson Ride bus to the Transportation Hub from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Madison Ritch, a junior majoring in hospitality management, said she believes the permit isn’t worth spending money, just to get on the Crimson Ride.

“I just don’t find it to be worth the money if I have to park all the way in Timbuktu,” she said. “And then the Crimson Ride is just usually late every time I’ve taken it.”

The Park and Ride permit is less than half the cost of Commuter West and East permits, which are $375 and $400 for the school year respectively.

Ritch said she believes it’s worth paying more for the traditional permits if financially able.
